Little Korea

Little Korea
2-3 Lisle Street

Soho
London

So a day spent in London culminated in the five of us craving a little food-tertainment. Shabu shabu, hotpot or something of that ilk. Korean bbq was suggested, and being the usual dithering foodies that we are, this turned into a time consuming and hunger inducing problem. So we just stumbled into the first Korean restaurant we found.

The usual topped rice.

Noodle dishes.

Hotpots.

Stirfries.

Sides.

Bimbaps.

Sashimi?

Sushi rolls...

set menus *yawn*

etc

etc

Yay, meats!

*yawn*

So yes, plenty of choice but nothing gripping. We were served tiny little plates of pickles. Not nearly enough for 5 people to graze before dinner. Sides were quite expensive, and rather stingy sizes.

The cucumbers were vinegared and overly acidic, while the bean sprouts had a lovely crunch.

A bottle of soju to drown our sorrows.

Garlic sauce and oiled salt to dip.

Pork belly.

Despite the angled grill and the cut lines to allow fluid to flow away, the plate was not hot enough to give great sizzle, rather it steamed a bit. Bleh.
